Ted Meissner
Ted Meissner has been practicing mindfulness since the early 1990s and brings decades of expertise as a UMass Center for Mindfulness Certified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) Teacher. As the host of Present Moment: Mindfulness Practice and Science and the video podcast Mindfulness Voyage, Ted has been at the forefront of bridging mindfulness practice with its scientific underpinnings.
His experience spans speaking engagements at organizations such as Apple, UnitedHealth, Optum, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the National Black Nurses Association. Ted’s work has been featured in Perspectives on Psychological Science, Mindful, and The International Journal of Whole Person Care. As a peer reviewer for the science journal Mindfulness, Ted upholds rigorous standards for mindfulness research.
Internationally, Ted supervises mindfulness teachers with the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Approaches in Germany, serves on the board of trustees for The Mindfulness Network in the U.K., and has collaborated with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation.
