Keynotes:

Fawziya Al Zadjali emphasized the importance of setting clear expectations and objectives in a mentoring relationship. Both mentor and mentee should articulate their goals and identify areas for growth, whether personal or professional. She highlighted the need for clear logistical arrangements, including meeting locations and times, to ensure a productive mentoring environment. Honesty and openness during sessions, as well as celebrating successes and providing constructive feedback, are crucial for effective mentoring. Fawziya recommended using templates for mentoring agreements and goal-setting, such as the Wheel of Life and the GROW model, to structure the process and address challenges systematically. She encouraged participants to consider potential challenges in mentoring relationships and prepare questions.
